Well, it was a good race as far as my performance and my goals went.  The rain slowed me down, I ended up with a terrible cramp in my right foot (I think it was due to having wet shoes and feet for 26 miles.)  I bonked real hard at mile 22 after I had a very long pee break, I couldn't get my speed back after this point.  I would have almost certainly broken 3:35 if I hadn't over hydrated and ended up having to slow down for so long.

Overall this race met my expectations.

I was happy to meet Jodie she was super nice and she did a great job!  And to think she has four kids!

It is now hours after the race and I am very very sore.

The race was super well organized and I loved it.  I think I would like to do it again.

Way to go! That's an awesome time. I'm just amazed that so many people can run that fast.

YOU DID SO GOOD! WAY TO GO! How did things go for Alicia? I've been wondering if her knee let her run. Dang knees!!!! But I guess it would be kinda hard to run without them. :o)

Nice job Koby, that's a great time. Way to hang tough after the PB at mile 22, I've only done that once that late in a marathon and then the legs pretty much stopped working after that.

First off, Thanks for all of the encouragement. It means a lot. I am sure to do another one now. I am actually excited to do another one. That is a huge

As for Alicia, I was going to let her type up her summary but she probably won't :). We will get her on the blog yet.

Alicia ended up playing a similar game as Kim did. As in, stretch hobble... stretch hobble. She started the stretch hobble pretty early in the race... in the single digit miles... but the good news was that by mile 17 she didn't have to stretch hobble so much anymore. She way negative splitted because of this. She ended up at 4:48. I was expecting her about 4:30 if she didn't get too hung up by the knee. So the time was really good. She did say that it was really frustrating to play leap frog with the 4:30 pacer. She knew she was faster and she kept continually passing the same people because of the stretch stops.

In other great news... she is really happy about the marathon and wants to do another one.
